x̱aw̓s shew̓áy̓ NEW GROWTH GARDEN

Illustrated here is the x̱aw̓s shew̓áy̓ New Growth《新生林》 ; an outdoor public garden conceived by T’uy’t’tanat-Cease Wyss and operated by 221A . The garden nurtures ecological processes and community members alike. Located in Vancouver’s Chinatown and adjacent to historic Hogan’s Alley, on the Unceded Territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓ əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil- Waututh), the garden provides a forum for the public, youth and community groups to discover and build healthy relationships with the land and with each other.
